MINIMAL WINTER

IN OUR FALL/WINTER 2015 COLLECTION, ENTITLED « MINIMAL WINTER » WE FOUND A LOT OF INSPIRATION IN THE WORK OF THE JAPANESE ARCHITECT ANDO TADAO. WE FOUND A SENSIBILITY THAT WE SHARE IN THE SENSE THAT IT IS VERY URBAN, IN THE PURITY OF LINES, THE EXTREME CAUTION IN THE NUMBER AND THE QUALITY OF MATERIALS BEING USED, IN ITS ESSENTIAL, BUT NOT OVERPOWERING ROUGHNESS.

WE HAVE, AS WELL, MADE A POINT OF USING VERY FEW, HIGH QUALITY MATERIALS, THAT ALL HAVE IN COMMON THE FACT THAT THEY CONFER STRUCTURE TO THE GARMENT LIKE WOOL, NEOPRENE, THICK COTTON OR TENCEL.

THAT URBAN FEELING APPEARS THROUGH THE COLOR PALETTE WE USED SUCH AS CEMENT AND IRON GREY, AND VERY DEEP DARK TONES, OR THE SELECTION OF PIECES, LIKE THE HOODED COAT AND SWEATSHIRT, OR THE CROPPED SWEATER.

WE REWORKED THOSE PIECES AND STRIPPED THEM OF EVERY SUPERFLUOUS DETAIL IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE MAXIMUM PURITY, PLAYED WITH THEIR CUT AND LENGTHS TO GIVE THEM AN OVERSIZED, ROUGH, SLIGHTLY BOYISH, YET EXTREMELY FEMININE ASPECT AND MAXIMUM COMFORT.

WE WANTED EACH PIECE IN THIS COLLECTION TO BE THE PERFECT COMPANION FOR THE URBAN WOMAN, SHOULD IT BE AT WORK, AT HOME, OR WHEN SHE GOES OUT WITH HER FRIENDS, BECAUSE SHE DOES NOT FIT IN A PERFECT MOULD, SHE IS NOT UNIFORM THROUGHOUT A DAY, SHE IS A MULTI-FACETED, STRONG INDIVIDUAL, WHICH IS WHAT WE WANTED TO SHOW IN THIS COLLECTION.
